About Diep.io
Diep.io is a free online top-down arena game where a simple tank grows into a specialized build. You begin with a basic cannon, destroy geometric shapes for experience, and spend stat points on areas such as movement speed, reload, bullet damage, body damage, and health. Reaching level milestones opens branching tank classes, so two players can start identically and end with very different roles.
The objective changes slightly between arena modes, but survival, experience, and pressure on rival tanks remain central. Farming shapes is safer than chasing every opponent, yet it can leave you underprepared if a stronger tank controls the area. A balanced build helps while learning; later, focused combinations support sniping, rapid fire, ramming, drone control, or team defense. The minimal arena makes threat direction easy to see but gives little protection when several rivals close in.
